Get to know the teacher!

I took piano lessons for 13 years, learning from four different teachers who each imparted vital musical skills. I am deeply grateful for their influence on my music career.

In high school, I accompanied choirs and ensemble groups, and competed in the GSACS competition in Southern California. After high school, I had the privilege of teaching an elementary music class while continuing my musical education through college courses.

I have been teaching piano for over 10 years, in five different states: California, Wisconsin, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and two kids, exploring new coffee shops, enjoying cozy, creative hobbies (like punch needling, doing my nails, sticker journaling, diamond painting, etc.), and listening to music.

Want to hear more about my teaching style?

I had the opportunity to be a guest on The TopMusic Piano podcast. In the interview, I talk about my approach to piano lessons, the methods and values that shape my studio, and why I love helping students play their favorite songs. Learning the piano should be an enjoyable and positive experience. My favorite aspect of teaching is discovering the unique songs each of my students want to learn. Here are a few examples of their selections!
